About The Position

College Aides are permitted to work up to 17 hours per week during the school year, and full time (35 hours) during the summer. Please note you must be a student enrolled in an accredited college or graduate school to be eligible for the position. Public Buildings seeks a College Aide for the Queens Public Library Program. The College Aide will support the unit by assisting project managers with administrative and technical tasks, maintaining project documentation, tracking schedules and milestones, preparing reports and meeting materials, coordinating communications, and conducting research. This support will improve efficiency, allow professional staff to focus on project delivery, and help advance major capital projects while maintaining day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • Must be a student enrolled in an accredited college or graduate school
  • Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.)
  • Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school
  • Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school

Nice To Haves

  • Specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study (for Assignment Level II and III)
  • Other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned (for Assignment Level III)
