About The Position

Revity Credit Union is seeking a Collector to help members find short- and long-term solutions to debt problems. The role focuses on recovering past-due payments on auto loans, credit cards, signature loans, lines of credit, and negative savings accounts. Collectors can negotiate and develop alternative solutions, with an emphasis on building long-term partnerships and helping members achieve future financial success.

The position handles delinquent-account contacts and inbound and outbound calls, reviews information for workout solutions, performs skip tracing, and makes recommendations concerning repossessions and charge-offs. It also supports the Member Solutions management team with repossessions, total loss claims, garnishments, citations and levies, deceased accounts, and member concerns. The employee is expected to follow applicable credit union policies and Bank Secrecy Act regulations.

Requirements

• One to two years of similar or related experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent accounts and take appropriate measures to recover Credit Union assets.
• Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls with members needing assistance with delinquent obligations.
• Review data for workout solutions and perform skip tracing.
• Make repossession and charge-off recommendations.
• Assist the Member Solutions management team with repossessions, total loss claims, garnishments, citations and levies, deceased accounts, and member concerns.
• Identify areas where existing Credit Union programs can be improved or enhanced.
• Perform other duties as identified from time to time.
• Remain cognizant of and adhere to Credit Union policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
