Requirements

• Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Three to five years of accounting experience.
• Successful completion of CPA exams.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and follow up on customer accounts on a timely basis.
• Provide customer service, making calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
• Maintain records by organizing and updating as information comes in to assure accurate and current data information.
• Request information from pharmacy and/or nursing homes as needed.
• Monitor and maintain customer accounts: customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write offs, customer reconciliations.
• Coordinate with and support the Billing/Accounting Department.
• Enlist the efforts of senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
• Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements.
• Mail correspondence to customers.
