About The Position

The End User Billing and Collection Specialist ensures that balances due for End User equipment work are billed and collected in a timely and accurate manner for an assigned allocation of customer accounts. The role supports a positive customer billing experience by resolving billing questions and payment issues, maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable records, and coordinating with internal teams. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Three or more years of billing and/or collections experience.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with a variety of software products.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team-player attitude and a can-do approach.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with the JD Edwards ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned End User Non-Portal sales records for billing instructions and special conditions, and ensure sales are billed and collected accurately and promptly.
• Build positive relationships with external customers by providing responsive service and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Research and resolve customer billing issues and questions by checking internal systems, job status, job files, contractual obligations, cash applications, and job reconciliations.
• Communicate with team members to escalate and resolve potential billing issues or payment delays.
• Manage collection of outstanding invoices and make calls on past-due accounts to obtain prompt payment.
• Maintain a clean and up-to-date Accounts Receivable aging, proactively identify and prioritize customer billing issues, and ensure payments are applied to the correct invoices.
• Communicate with departments that can resolve customer issues causing past-due balances.
• Assist Rite-Hite and the Operations Department in any reasonable capacity required.
