About The Position

GLS is dedicated to helping more individuals access affordable auto financing through advanced analytics and technology. For over 10 years, we have supported more than a million families, providing them with reliable transportation options in their daily lives. This role involves managing a portfolio of auto loan accounts to reduce delinquency by contacting customers, understanding their payment intentions, and negotiating solutions. The position requires maintaining positive relationships while collecting on past-due balances, adhering to guidelines, and accurately documenting all interactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: friendly, tactful, empathetic, and able to influence and manage conflict.
  • Strong judgment and discretion with highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Active listening skills; comfortable probing and asking targeted questions to gather information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
  • Team player who can adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with internet and standard business tools (Microsoft Office); quick to learn new systems.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to GLS core values and key competencies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of auto loan accounts and reduce delinquency.
  • Contact customers to understand intent and ability to pay.
  • Maintain positive relationships while collecting on past-due balances.
  • Negotiate solutions that work for customers and GLS (immediate payments and/or promises to pay with clear dates and amounts).
  • Follow state and company guidelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accurately document all contacts, outcomes, and follow-up in GLS systems.
  • Meet or exceed assigned goals and business plan objectives.
  • Maintain electronic records and support additional assignments or special projects as needed.
