Requirements

Associate’s degree and 1 year of experience
Ability to handle difficult phone calls
Ability to perform advanced functions in Excel such as v-lookups and pivot tables
Experience in accounting (specifically reconciling accounts and using accounting software)
Knowledge of collection policies, procedures, rules, regulations and laws
Good judgment and ability to problem solve

Responsibilities

Performs collection duties such as making phone calls, sending emails, creating collection letters, communicating with Sales Reps and other appropriate NCEL departments
Review and approve new and existing lottery retailer financial and banking information
Participates in the 1099 tax project on an annual basis to help ensure they are prepared and sent out in a timely fashion
Responsible for the collection and deposit of NSF funds and journal voucher creation in Microsoft Dynamics 365
Complete Old/New Debt reviews for prospective NCEL retailers
Initiates NSF Committee meetings for retailers that dispute credit limits and security deposits
Review and make credit limit adjustments based on retailer disputes
Review and correct issues on the reports daily as the situation requires
