About The Position
The Junto is a modern-day embodiment of Ben Franklin’s club for mutual improvement, bringing people together to discuss ideas and enjoy life. The hotel provides public gathering spaces for visitors, locals, entrepreneurs, and artists, and aims to help define and add value to the future of Columbus. The Coffee Shop Manager is an experienced, service-driven, hands-on leader who oversees daily coffee shop operations and leads and supports a team of baristas. The role involves preparing and personalizing beverages, including espresso drinks, maintaining a clean and inviting shop, and ensuring guests receive exceptional service. The manager also monitors inventory, places orders, and manages stock to prevent shortages and waste.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a coffee shop manager or lead barista is highly preferred.
- Professional and approachable demeanor with strong leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Passion for coffee, teamwork, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Greet and engage guests with a warm, guest-first approach and assist in crafting personalized beverage orders.
- Lead, mentor, and support the coffee shop team to deliver consistent quality and top-tier service.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment and uphold health and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages and waste.
- Oversee daily coffee shop operations and lead by example in beverage preparation and guest service.
