About The Position

The Coffee Shop Barista crafts beverages, keeps the coffee shop stocked and clean, and helps customers find what they need. The role involves providing friendly customer service in a fast-paced store coffee shop environment, preparing and replenishing products, and working with teammates to create a positive customer experience. Prior experience is not required; training and support are provided. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

Follow written and verbal instructions.
Use basic math for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
Communicate clearly and helpfully with customers and teammates.
Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy coffee shop environment.
Less than a high school diploma or equivalent is accepted.
Complete a pre-employment drug screen successfully.

Nice To Haves

Up to six months of similar or related work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service.
Take customer orders at the counter and over the phone, help customers find products, and answer questions.
Prepare and replenish coffee shop products throughout the shift.
Monitor product freshness and appearance and follow or develop a production list to meet daily needs.
Handle food safely and keep the work area clean, neat, and up to department standards.
Check in and put away product and review invoices as needed.
Operate the department register and process payments where applicable.
Remove trash promptly and maintain a tidy department.
Work with teammates to provide a smooth, positive customer experience.
Comply with the dress code, hygiene standards, and company policies.
Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
