About The Position

This role is responsible for delivering assigned coffee, tea, and allied products, providing route relief coverage, and merchandising beverage stations to company standards. Key duties include replenishing, rotating, and verifying product availability, maintaining equipment, and completing daily Cup Quality Checks. The specialist will manage paperwork such as invoices and inventory counts, drive revenue by identifying distribution voids and executing sales initiatives, and escalate service or product issues to the Area Sales Manager (ASM). Additional responsibilities involve supporting the ASM with inventory and customer-related tasks, learning brewing systems for basic adjustments, making opportunistic sales calls, and assisting with warehouse operations, accounts receivable, and customer service follow-ups.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Mechanical comfort with hardware, brewing systems, and basic software
  • Customer needs assessment and effective communication
  • Alignment with business goals; practical judgment and decision-making
  • Issue spotting and opportunity identification; proactive approach
  • Professional presence, self-awareness, and relationship building
  • Independent work style with strong accountability

Nice To Haves

  • Route delivery experience (a plus)
  • Customer service background (preferred)
  • Prior foodservice industry exposure (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver assigned coffee, tea, and allied products while providing route relief coverage.
  • Merchandise beverage stations to standard: replenish, rotate, and verify availability at each stop.
  • Keep equipment clean and operational; complete at least one CQC (Cup Quality Check) per day.
  • Own the paperwork: invoices, inventory counts, and daily collections when on route.
  • Drive Revenue per Stop by filling distribution voids on core SKUs, executing seasonal/LTO initiatives, and applying pricing updates.
  • Escalate service or product issues immediately to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) and ensure resolution.
  • Support the ASM with inventory cycle counts, warehouse duties, and customer-related tasks.
  • Learn brewing systems and perform basic adjustments or minor fixes.
  • Follow the Farmer Brothers Way to Sell and make opportunistic sales calls to grow accounts.
  • Assist, as needed, with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service follow-ups.
