Full-Time Cocktail Server

About The Position

The Cocktail Server provides quality customer service by demonstrating strong food, when applicable, and beverage knowledge. The role serves guests and assists with beverage service preparation while creating personal experiences and building guest relationships that encourage return visits. The server acts as an advocate for the bar or restaurant and helps ensure guests have an outstanding experience. Responsibilities include greeting and welcoming guests; promptly serving food and beverages; receiving and accurately processing orders through the POS system; promptly addressing complaints; maintaining clean tables, countertops, and work areas; setting up and breaking down stations; preparing drink condiments; assisting with seating and answering phones as needed; and completing other sidework. Employees may occasionally take on responsibilities beyond this job description. The role requires strong interpersonal communication, initiative, wine and spirits knowledge, the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment, and the ability to learn and present product, menu, and allergy information. Basic math, accurate billing, and appropriate cash and credit-card handling skills are also needed. A flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Requirements

One year of previous experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred.
Highly motivated, takes initiative, and has excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent wine and spirits knowledge.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Ability to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
Basic math skills and ability to calculate bills and handle cash and credit cards properly.
Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certifications, if applicable.
Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
