About The Position
This role is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests, taking orders, and ensuring a positive dining experience at Sternewirth at Hotel Emma. The position involves various duties to maintain the restaurant's operations and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of restaurant experience.
- High volume experience.
- Good food and service knowledge.
- Basic POS knowledge.
- Pleasant personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible schedule required, to include AM/PM, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Receive and take guest orders and process them in a timely manner.
- Serve food and beverages to guests and refill drinks.
- Perform sidework and/or opening & closing duties.
- Operate point of sale system.
- Clean tables, straighten chairs, and keep the floor free of debris.
- Clean service area and replenish as needed.
- Bus and set tables.
- Assist in Room Service if necessary.
- Handle cash and credit transactions.
- Communicate with support crew and management.
- Volunteer hotel information to guests, including knowledge of other restaurants, shops, locations on property, and current/upcoming events.
