About The Position

WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking a Co-Teacher/FSW Float based at its Market Street location. The position is 40 hours per week for 9 months a year. The Co-Teacher/FSW Float assists the Teacher in supporting each Child Development Services child’s development and education, and helps coordinate services for children and families in accordance with applicable performance standards, licensing regulations, and WOCAP policies and procedures. Float staff move between classrooms as needed and may travel to another site to perform the same responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be willing to enroll in a CDA program and obtain CDA certification within two years.
• Must maintain certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease, CPR, and First Aid.
• Ability to check electronic mail, enter data into program-specific software for required reports, and use the Internet.

Nice To Haves

• Current possession of a CDA.
• Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and access to a privately owned vehicle during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher in developing and educating each Child Development Services child to their fullest potential using the latest curriculum.
• Assist the Teacher with weekly lesson plans and daily planning.
• Support children and families by coordinating, facilitating, identifying, enrolling, and providing individual services in accordance with Child Development Services Performance Standards, licensing regulations, and WOCAP policies and procedures.
• Help ensure children receive required health-related services by connecting them to resources, providing follow-up support, and identifying and removing barriers to services.
• Transport families to appointments when needed, report difficulties to supervisors in writing, and ensure follow-up within 30 days.
• Move between classrooms as needed each day and travel to another site as required to perform the same responsibilities.
