About The Position
MBK Machine, a high-precision machine shop in Frederick, Colorado, is seeking a CNC Mill Setup and Operator Machinist for their weekday shift. The role involves overseeing operational activities, ensuring quality control, and contributing to the production of parts for small and large quantities, prototypes, and R&D projects. Requirements
- Previous experience in shop operations or other related fields
- Familiarity with machine shop and quality lab tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Job preparation including building tools, fixturing, material prep, loading work/tool offsets, etc. according to programmer specifications
- Coordinate with programmers on job progress & potential improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Provide innovative solutions to improve shop efficiency
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the shop floor
- Log and record readings for machined parts
