Griffin Industries is hiring a CNC Machinist for its weekend shift at its Green Bay shop. The position runs vertical and horizontal CNC mills on prototype and low-volume castings for defense, power generation, marine, vehicle, and other OEM customers. The role works with a small crew and requires independent setup, machining, troubleshooting, inspection, and communication with the weekday crew. Jobs change frequently, so the machinist will work on a variety of parts rather than repeating the same part for extended periods. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Monday through Thursday off. Pay is $23 to $30 per hour, plus a $5-per-hour weekend differential. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments: $1,000 at 90 days and $1,000 at 180 days. Griffin Industries is a family-owned machining shop founded in 1983. It machines prototype and low-volume castings for defense, energy, marine, electric vehicle, construction, and agricultural OEMs. The company describes its workplace as fast-paced and constantly changing. Its 40,000-square-foot climate-controlled facility operates CNC vertical and horizontal machines, CMMs, laser scanning, casting simulation, and 3D-printed sand-core equipment. Griffin is ISO 9001 certified, ITAR registered, and CMMC Level 2 compliant, and is working toward AS9100 certification.
