Griffin Industries is hiring a CNC Machinist to run vertical and horizontal CNC mills on prototype and low-volume castings for defense, power generation, marine, vehicle, and other OEM customers. The work involves a steady stream of new products and frequently changing jobs, rather than producing the same part for extended periods. The second shift is a small crew expected to keep jobs moving, inspect its own work, and provide a clean handoff to first shift. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with Friday through Sunday off. The posting says there is no mandatory overtime. Pay is $23 to $30 per hour, plus a $1-per-hour second-shift differential. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments: $1,000 at 90 days and $1,000 at 180 days. Griffin Industries is a family-owned machining shop in Green Bay, Wisconsin, founded in 1983. Its operations include CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, coordinate measuring machines, laser scanning, casting simulation, and 3D-printed sand cores in a climate-controlled 40,000-square-foot building. The company is ISO 9001 certified, ITAR registered, CMMC Level 2 compliant, and building toward AS9100 certification.
