About The Position
McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for CNA for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or HiSET
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant training program with verification of certification.
- Completion of 75-hour basic Certified Nursing Assistant Program or Completion of Advanced Nurse Aide Program with certificate.
- BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment.
- Mandatory Reporter training or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment
Nice To Haves
- Previous CNA experience preferred.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Medical terminology completion of class within on year of employment.
Responsibilities
- Assists with patient rooming processes including measures and documents height, weight, and vital sign readings, as directed.
- Room turnover and cleaning in a timely manner.
- Assists with supply stocking and monitoring.
- Performs receptionist duties, as required.
- Assist patients to and from the restroom.
- Assist patients and staff with wheelchair transfers.
- Be of assistance to the nurse.
- Restock room supplies.
- Assist with reordering medical supplies.
- Performing other duties, as assigned.
