About The Position

McFarland Clinic is hiring an Enviro Services Worker for its Ames office. Under general supervision, the worker performs assigned daily cleaning to maintain the Clinic in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition. Duties include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, sterilizing buildings, and removing waste paper and possible medical waste from offices, exam rooms, and waiting areas.

The role requires the ability to lift 75 pounds and involves exposure to common cleaning chemicals. Hepatitis B and TB immunizations are required and provided by the Clinic. The schedule is 2–3 evenings per week, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The position is listed as partial part-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or HiSET.
• PC experience required.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Hepatitis B and TB immunizations are required; the Clinic provides them.
• Pre-employment drug screening and criminal history background checks are conditions of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and authorization to drive company vehicles by McFarland Clinic's Auto Insurance Carrier, if the job assignment requires driving a company vehicle.
