About The Position
Azalea Home Care is seeking a dependable, compassionate CNA or PCA to provide in-home assistance to a client recovering from knee replacement surgery scheduled for November 12. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, for 35 hours per week. The role provides hands-on personal care, mobility support, health monitoring, medication reminders, and help with daily activities. Caregivers are expected to promote client safety, protect dignity and privacy, and document care using the agency’s app. Azalea Home Care describes itself as a caregiver-first organization offering nurse-led mentorship, paid specialty certifications, and caregiver-first scheduling.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active CNA license, state-specific.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification with employer payment.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients.
- Basic computer and app skills for charting and communication.
- Empathy, professionalism, and commitment to protecting client dignity and privacy.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transfers.
- Support range-of-motion exercises, walking, and physician-directed therapy routines.
- Check vital signs, track food and fluid intake, and promptly report changes.
- Remind clients to take medications as ordered and document compliance.
- Prepare nutritious meals, perform light housekeeping, run errands, and provide companionship.
- Follow infection-control and fall-prevention protocols.
- Maintain accurate EMR notes using the agency’s app.
