About The Position

Executive Home Care is hiring a caregiver to provide direct in-home care to seniors who need help with everyday living. The role is located near Cosby High School, with 4-hour evening shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts available. Caregivers are placed with a client as close to home as possible, and schedules are described as flexible. Healthcare experience is not necessary; training is provided. A typical day begins at the client's home with checking for safety issues and observing the client's general health. Caregivers may help with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, playing games, and providing companionship. They may also assist with personal hygiene, including showering, brushing teeth, and combing hair. The role calls for dependable, compassionate, trustworthy, patient, and flexible people who can empathize with clients' needs.

Requirements

PCA or CNA certification from Virginia, or be a nursing student or nursing assistant.
Reliable transportation.
Availability every other weekend.
Dependability, compassion, trustworthiness, empathy, patience, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

Check the client's home for safety issues and observe the client's general health.
Assist with daily activities such as cooking and cleaning.
Play games and provide companionship.
