About The Position
Executive Home Care is hiring a caregiver to provide in-home support to a senior client near Cosby High School. Caregivers begin each visit by checking for safety issues and observing the client’s well-being. They may assist with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, playing games, and providing companionship, as well as personal hygiene, including showering, toothbrushing, and hair combing. The position calls for a caring, dependable, compassionate, trustworthy, patient, and flexible person who wants to improve a senior’s quality of life. Flexible scheduling is available, including four-hour evening shifts and eight-hour weekend shifts. The employer aims to place caregivers with clients as close to home as possible. Day, evening, and weekend availability is listed. Pay is biweekly, and travel time and mileage are reimbursed.
Requirements
- PCA or CNA certification from Virginia, nursing student status, or nursing assistant experience/status.
- Reliable transportation.
- Availability every other weekend.
- Dependability, compassion, trustworthiness, patience, flexibility, and empathy for clients’ needs.
Responsibilities
- Check the client’s home for safety issues and observe the client’s well-being.
- Assist the client with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, and playing games.
- Provide companionship.
- Assist with personal hygiene, including showering, brushing teeth, and combing hair.
