About The Position
Allpro Staffnet d/b/a Allpro Homecare is seeking a CNA or PCA to provide quality non-medical homecare to veterans. Duties vary according to each client’s service plan and needs. The position offers flexible scheduling, with shifts available Sunday through Saturday and part-time or full-time hours depending on client needs. Caregivers may provide companionship and emotional support; perform housekeeping; assist with transfers, ambulation, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting; and plan, prepare, and serve meals with clients’ assistance when possible. Caregivers report unusual events to the administrator, respond responsibly to emergencies, and complete other duties in the client service plan. The posting notes that responsibilities may vary by client.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a current CNA license or PCA certificate.
- Pass a Virginia State Police background check.
- Complete state-required reference checks.
- Have one year of caregiver experience in a hospital, nursing home, other facility, or homecare agency setting.
- Have a valid driver’s license or state ID and reliable daily transportation.
- Be able to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Have adequate physical endurance.
Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform housekeeping.
- Assist clients with transfers and ambulation, including using a cane, walker, wheelchair, or Hoyer Lift as appropriate to the client.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals, with assistance from clients when they are able.
- Assist clients with toileting, including use of a bedpan or toilet.
- Report unusual events or occurrences to the administrator.
- Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Complete other duties within the Client Service Plan.
