About The Position
Allpro Staffnet d/b/a Allpro Homecare is seeking a CNA or PCA to provide quality non-medical homecare to its veteran population. Duties and responsibilities depend on each client’s service plan and may vary according to the client’s needs. Varying shifts are available Sunday through Saturday, and part-time or full-time hours may be available depending on client needs. The role may include companionship and emotional support; housekeeping; helping clients with transfers and ambulation using equipment such as a cane, walker, wheelchair, or Hoyer lift; assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meals; reporting unusual events to the administrator; responding responsibly to emergencies; and completing other duties in the client service plan.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a current CNA license or PCA certificate.
- Pass a Virginia State Police background check.
- Complete state-required reference checks.
- Have one year of caregiver experience in a hospital, nursing home, other facility, or homecare agency setting.
- Have a valid driver’s license or state ID and reliable daily transportation.
- Be able to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Have adequate physical endurance.
Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform housekeeping.
- Assist clients with transfers and ambulation, including use of a cane, walker, wheelchair, or Hoyer lift as appropriate to the client.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals, involving clients when they are able.
- Assist clients with toileting, including use of a bedpan or toilet.
- Report unusual events or occurrences to the administrator.
- Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Complete all other duties included in the client service plan.
