About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential daily living assistance to medically fragile adults in their homes. The role includes personal care, meal preparation, and support with daily activities to promote clients’ well-being and comfort. Online and onsite training are provided. The position supports a client who is awake overnight, from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., three to four days per week, including every other weekend. Premium pay is offered.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or higher education.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid Georgia driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Full vaccination for seasonal flu, COVID, tetanus/Tdap, and hepatitis B, or proof of immunity.
Experience with personal care support, relevant training, and/or a GACCP competency exam.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Maturity and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
Knowledge of caregiving practices and techniques.
Sympathetic attitude toward the care of children, the sick, and the elderly.
Reliability, flexibility with time, and close attention to detail as it relates to patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to clients in their homes.
Assist with activities of daily living, including housekeeping, bathing, grooming, toileting, hair washing, personal hygiene, and companionship.
Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions, and assist with eating as necessary.
Turn and position the client.
Assist with transfers and ambulation.
Assist the client with dressing and undressing.
Drive with or without the client’s family to appointments or outings as necessary.
Provide caregiving services with empathy and respect.
Report changes in client status appropriately.
Work with pediatric and adult populations.
