About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring caregivers to provide compassionate, dependable in-home care in Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes while supporting their dignity and quality of life. The company offers caregiver support from an RN Supervisor, training, help finding a suitable client match, and opportunities to advance, including into office roles in scheduling or recruiting.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience are welcome.
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus, but is not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
