About The Position

Elim Shores, a Cassia community, is hiring a Caregiver to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations. The Caregiver works with other caregivers and nurses to assist residents with activities of daily living and medication administration while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being. The role is suited to a compassionate, dependable person who works well in a team-oriented environment.

The position is available full-time or part-time, with a night shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The wage range is $16.92–$20.30 per hour, depending on experience. The role is based at Elim Shores in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A genuine desire to work with the elderly population.

Nice To Haves

• Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help residents reach and maintain their highest level of performance and independence while assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments delegated by the Registered Nurse according to individualized care plans.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, and respiration as instructed, and report changes or concerns to the RN.
• Document services performed using computerized charting systems.
• Assist residents with prescribed program activities.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical or emotional condition, including changes in attitude, reaction, or appetite, to the supervisor.
• Assist with personal care, which may include shampooing, showering or bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Pass medications.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
