About The Position

Visiting Angels of Humble is hiring CNA Nurse Aides to serve clients throughout Cleveland, Splendora, New Caney, Hightower, Macedonia, Franklin, and nearby areas. The role supports clients’ quality of life and wellness in accordance with their individualized care plans. Care may include personal care and hygiene, exercise and walks, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, mobility assistance, and accompaniment to appointments, errands, or shopping. Caregivers report health changes or unusual incidents and respond appropriately to emergencies. Advanced training opportunities in dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care are available to caregivers seeking to broaden their skills. The posting offers full-time and part-time options, a range of shift lengths, PRN, and short shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Training in First Aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties at once.
Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
Physical endurance to carry groceries and physically support a client.
Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while following applicable dietary constraints.
Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, such as a background check.
Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

Interest in broadening skills through advanced training in dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
Plan and prepare meals with clients.
Perform light housekeeping duties.
Report health changes or unusual incidents.
Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
Assist with client mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
Follow clients’ custom care plans and applicable dietary constraints.
Comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.
