About The Position

Visiting Angels of Baytown is hiring CNA Nurse Aides to serve clients throughout the local area, including Anahuac, Mont Belvieu, Baytown, Dayton, and Liberty. The role supports clients’ quality of life and wellness in accordance with their individual care plans. Caregivers may provide personal care and hygiene assistance, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility support, medication reminders, and help with errands and appointments. The position may also involve responding to emergencies and reporting changes in clients’ health or unusual incidents. Advanced training opportunities in dementia and Alzheimer’s care are available for caregivers who want to expand their skills. Flexible shift options are offered, including full-time, part-time, PRN, and shifts of varying lengths.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Training in First Aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
Excellent time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple duties at once.
Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
Physical endurance to carry groceries and physically support a client.
Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while following applicable dietary constraints.
Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

Nice To Haves

Interest in broadening caregiving skills through advanced training in dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
Plan and prepare meals with clients while following applicable dietary constraints.
Perform light housekeeping duties.
Report health changes or unusual incidents.
Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
Transport clients using a reliable personal vehicle.
