About The Position

Family Life Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide professional care to patients in their homes. Assignments may include long-term care or assistance with recovery from an injury or illness. Family Life Care works with employees to build schedules around their needs and serves clients ranging from children to senior citizens, including veterans.

The role includes supporting clients with activities of daily living, meal preparation, observation and reporting of changes in health, companionship, light housekeeping, and memory care. The position is based in Interlachen, Florida.

Requirements

• Current Florida CNA license or a 75-hour Home Health Aide Certificate from a school approved through the State of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Current TB test with negative results.
• Ability to pass a Level II background check.
• Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions.
• Ability to perform meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning duties.
• Compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and families.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently while following care plans.
• Working smartphone.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare meals and help ensure clients receive nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
• Observe patients for changes in health status and report concerns to healthcare providers.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness in clients’ living environments through light housekeeping, including cleaning and laundry.
• Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, promoting safety and cognitive engagement.
