About The Position

Family Life Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Health Aides (HHA) to provide professional care to patients in their homes. Assignments may include long-term care or assistance with recovery from an injury or illness. Family Life Care works with employees to build schedules around their needs and serves clients ranging from children to senior citizens, including veterans.

The role includes assisting clients with activities of daily living, preparing meals according to dietary needs, observing and reporting changes in health status, providing companionship, completing light housekeeping, and supporting clients with cognitive impairments through memory care and safety-focused engagement.

Requirements

• Hold a current Florida CNA license or a 75-hour Home Health Aide Certificate from a school approved through the State of Florida.
• Have current CPR certification.
• Have a driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Have a current TB test with negative results.
• Be able to pass a Level II background check.
• Have strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions.
• Be able to prepare meals, do laundry, and perform light cleaning.
• Have a compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and families.
• Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following care plans.
• Have a working smartphone.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary needs.
• Observe clients’ health status and report concerns to healthcare providers.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to support mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness in clients’ homes through light housekeeping, including cleaning and laundry.
• Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, promoting safety and cognitive engagement.
• Follow care plans while working independently.
