About The Position

Family Life Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides to provide professional care to patients in their homes. Assignments may include long-term care or support during recovery from an injury or illness. The organization works with caregivers to build schedules around their needs and serves clients from children to senior citizens, including veterans.

Care includes assistance with daily living, meal preparation, patient observation, companionship, light housekeeping, and memory care support.

Requirements

• Current Florida CNA license or a 75-hour Home Health Aide Certificate from a school approved through the State of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Current TB test with negative results.
• Ability to pass a Level II background check.
• Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions.
• Ability to prepare meals and perform laundry and light cleaning duties.
• Compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills to interact with clients and families.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently while following care plans.
• Working smartphone.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary needs.
• Observe patients for changes in health status and report concerns to healthcare providers.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to support mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness in clients’ living environments through light housekeeping, including cleaning and laundry.
• Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, maintaining safety and promoting cognitive engagement.
