About The Position

Family Life Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides to provide professional care to patients in their homes. Assignments may include long-term care or support during recovery from injury or illness. The organization works with employees to build schedules around their needs and serves clients ranging from children to senior citizens, including veterans.

The role includes assisting clients with activities of daily living, preparing meals, observing and reporting changes in health, providing companionship and engaging activities, completing light housekeeping and laundry, and supporting clients with cognitive impairments through memory care.

Requirements

• Current Florida CNA license or a 75-hour Home Health Aide Certificate from a school approved through the State of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Current TB test with negative results.
• Ability to pass a Level II background check.
• Ability to prepare meals, do laundry, and perform light cleaning duties.
• Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions.
• Compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and families.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently while following care plans.
• Working smartphone.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary needs.
• Observe clients’ health status and report concerns to healthcare providers.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to support mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness in clients’ homes through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, maintaining safety and promoting cognitive engagement.
• Follow care plans while working independently.
