CNA/HHA Male Caregiver | Part Time Home Care Case
About The Position
YAH Home Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, experienced male CNA or HHA caregiver for a private home care case in Boynton Beach, Florida. This part-time daytime role provides personalized one-on-one assistance, companionship, and safe transportation to a client. The client has requested a male caregiver based on personal care preferences and comfort level. The caregiver will help the client remain active, supported, and independent while providing respectful care and following an individualized care plan. The schedule is described as Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with consistent weekly daytime hours. The caregiver must be comfortable transporting the client in their own vehicle when needed; mileage reimbursement is provided for approved client-related transportation.
Requirements
- Male CNA or HHA caregiver.
- Valid Florida CNA license or HHA certificate.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable personal vehicle.
- Comfortable transporting the client as needed.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow a care plan.
- At least three years of hands-on caregiving experience is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification.
- Previous private-duty or one-on-one home care experience.
- Experience supporting older adults with mobility needs, safety supervision, or daily routine assistance.
- At least three years of hands-on caregiving experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support in a private home setting.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal care.
- Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
- Support safe mobility, transfers, walking assistance, and fall prevention.
- Prepare light meals or snacks based on the client’s needs.
- Provide medication reminders as permitted.
- Transport the client in the caregiver’s own vehicle for approved errands, appointments, or outings.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
- Observe and report changes in the client’s condition or needs.
- Follow the individualized care plan.
- Communicate professionally with the client, family, and care team.
