Caregiver HHA CNA Home Care
About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring caregivers to provide compassionate, patient-centered support to clients in their homes across Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers assist with personal care, mobility, meals, medication reminders, companionship, and maintaining a clean and safe home environment. The organization provides field support from an RN Supervisor, training, resources, and help matching caregivers with clients. Flexible scheduling is available, including full-time schedules, with opportunities to advance into office roles such as scheduling or recruiting.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English.
- Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
- Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
- Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass background checks.
- Show enthusiasm for helping others, eagerness to learn, and motivation to provide excellent care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but is not necessary.
- Nursing students seeking patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, or walking.
- Prepare and serve meals.
- Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
- Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
- Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Show dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
