About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring a compassionate and reliable HHA or CNA to provide personalized in-home care. Caregivers support clients in maintaining dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life in their own homes. The role includes support from an RN Supervisor in the field, ongoing training, and assistance finding a suitable client match. The service area includes Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Compensation is $19.00–$21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing students seeking patient care experience.
• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
