About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring a compassionate and reliable caregiver to provide personalized in-home support. Caregivers help clients remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes while maintaining their dignity and quality of life. The agency provides an RN Supervisor for field support, helps caregivers prepare for assignments and match with clients, and offers ongoing training and opportunities for career growth. The role serves Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing students seeking patient care experience.
• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but is not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Provide medication reminders; training will be provided.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
