About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to provide personalized in-home support to clients in Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients maintain dignity, comfort, safety, independence, and quality of life in their own homes. The company provides field support from an RN Supervisor, training, and resources to help caregivers succeed and advance. Caregivers are matched with clients and supported in building connections and enhancing clients’ daily lives. The role may include occasional transportation to appointments or errands, with mileage reimbursement. Compensation is $19.00–$22.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English.
- Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
- Nursing students seeking patient care experience are considered.
- Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
- Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass background checks.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but is not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
- Prepare and serve meals.
- Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
- Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
- Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
