About The Position

Mansfield Nursing is looking for an RN for a CNA class instructor. A CNA Class Instructor (RN) teaches, mentors, and evaluates nursing assistant students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Responsibilities include delivering state-approved curriculum, supervising patient care, ensuring clinical compliance, tracking student performance, and preparing them for certification. They ensure high-quality training and safety.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
  • Typically 2+ years of experience as a nurse, often with specific long-term care (SNF) experience.
  • Completion of a state-approved "Train the Trainer" workshop or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse student populations.
  • Proficiency in bedside nursing skills and patient care procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct classroom lectures and skills labs covering nursing fundamentals, such as vital signs, hygiene, and patient safety.
  • On-site supervision of students in clinical settings (long-term care, nursing homes) to ensure proper patient care and safety.
  • Assess student competencies via exams and practical demonstrations, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and clinical hours.
  • Act as a positive role model, fostering an environment of empathy and professionalism.
