About The Position
A state-certified nurse aide training program completed in 17 days. Students must provide a completed application, valid photo identification, and Social Security card at the interview. Because the class is intensive, absences and tardiness are not permitted, and students must maintain an average grade of at least 85 to continue. Students must purchase a set of scrubs to wear to class and clinical sessions, as well as a book; additional book information is provided at the interview. Applicants are subject to a criminal background check and consultation of the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults. Applicants with a felony conviction, certain misdemeanor charges, or a listing on the abuse registry cannot be admitted. Successful completion may lead to employment opportunities. Acceptance decisions are based on facility need, candidate shift availability, entrance exam score, flexibility, previous work history, and attitude. Selected students will receive a phone call on or before 10:00 AM on the Friday before the class.
