About The Position

The Club Attendant supports member satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and performing maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the club healthy, clean, and orderly. The role works with club management, team members, and members, partners with the Facilities Technician, and reports to the General Manager. Travel between clubs may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of janitorial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Regularly able to stand, walk, and use hands and arms; frequently able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to communicate by telephone with internal and external members.
• Ability to use cleaning chemicals, ladders, and cleaning utensils.
• Travel between clubs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and dust walls, mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout club areas, including locker rooms, workout areas, offices, hallways, and stairs.
• Clean and dust weight and cardio equipment.
• Restock supplies and empty garbage and recycling containers.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly scopes of work and special cleaning projects.
• Clean and maintain wet areas when applicable, including pool decks, pools, steam rooms, and saunas, and conduct regular pool chemical testing.
• Perform minor cosmetic equipment repairs, such as rust removal, touch-up painting, and relabeling.
• Partner with the Facilities Technician on equipment cleaning tasks described in the preventative maintenance guide.
• Perform minor painting as approved or directed by the General Manager and Facilities Technician.
• Use janitorial supplies according to product labels and club manuals.
• Report newly identified facility maintenance issues through Service Channel.
• Report member complaints to the General Manager.
