About The Position

Microsoft is seeking a customer-facing Cloud Solution Architect focused on Copilot and agentic AI to guide federal agency customers through AI transformation. The role serves as a strategic trusted advisor and technical subject matter expert, helping customers adopt Copilot Chat, Agents, and Microsoft 365 Copilot, realize business value and return on investment, and manage organizational change. It requires verification of U.S. citizenship because of citizenship-based legal restrictions, as well as passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field and at least 4 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure technologies, IT consulting or support, systems administration, network operations, software development or support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting; equivalent experience is accepted.
• U.S. citizenship, verified through a valid passport, is required for work supporting U.S. federal, state, and/or local government agency customers, subject to applicable law.
• Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in a listed or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in a listed or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in a customer-facing role and at least 4 years working on technical projects.
• At least 5 years of customer-facing experience or 5+ years working on technical Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or Copilot Studio projects.
• Deep knowledge of solution architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of cloud or collaboration environments.
• Preferred certification in one or more of Microsoft 365 fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Copilot fundamentals, Microsoft Power Platform/Copilot Studio, Microsoft Azure fundamentals, cloud security, Teams administration, SharePoint, or PROSCI/change management.
• Ability to identify business needs and solutions involving business problems, process improvement, organizational change, or strategic planning and policy development.
• Demonstrated ability to build deep technical relationships with senior IT executives in large or highly strategic accounts.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships to build consensus on solutions or projects.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer challenges into actionable AI solutions aligned with customer outcomes and return on investment; promote a connected customer experience and long-term value.
• Lead architectural design and engage business and technical decision-makers to establish intent and enable sustained adoption of Copilot Chat, Agents, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Use Copilot prompt-engineering and agent-building expertise to scale AI adoption.
• Partner with technical and sales teams to identify growth opportunities and develop tailored solutions that support expansion and business value realization.
• Participate in relevant communities, share expertise, contribute to intellectual property creation, prioritize reuse, and learn from others to accelerate customer AI transformation.
• Represent the voice of the customer by sharing insights, feedback, and success stories to inform internal strategy and execution.
• Maintain technical readiness and pursue continuous self-directed learning in Copilot Chat, Agents, Microsoft 365 Copilot, business value realization, and adoption and change management.
• Embody Microsoft's culture and values.
