About the position
We are seeking a CloudOps SRE to join our team at OneTrust. As part of the SRE Team, you will play a critical role in managing our cloud application and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining the cloud application, building operational automation scripts, handling cloud application deployment, and supporting various technologies such as Linux, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, Kafka, and MongoDB. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining and meeting operational metrics, resolving incidents, automating software deployment, and mitigating risks.
Responsibilities
- Support production customers by monitoring and maintaining the cloud application and cloud infrastructure hosting it
- Build scripts for operational automation and incident response
- Handle processes surrounding cloud application deployment for agile release
- Work with monitoring, tuning, maintenance, and support of Linux, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, cloud infrastructure/services, etc.
- Define, measure, and meet key operational metrics including performance, incidents, capacity, and availability
- Run incident resolution within the environment, facilitating teamwork with other departments as required
- Build out lifecycle processes to mitigate risk and ensure platforms remain current
- Automate the deployment of new software to the cloud environment in coordination with DevOps engineers
Requirements
- +2 years working with the Microsoft Azure platform (preferred) or another public cloud platform
- +1 years of experience in automation tools like Terraform, Linux scripting, Cloud Orchestration tools like Ansible or Chef, etc.
- Ability to write scripts in one major scripting language such as Bash, PowerShell &/or Python
- Good verbal and written interpersonal skills; with ability to clearly and effectively articulate ideas and direction of projects
- Ability to plan, schedule and monitor work activities to meet time and quality targets
- Highly organized and meticulous with excellent, process management skills; project and goal oriented
- Ability to lead multiple tasks with shifting priorities
- Understanding of Container and DevOps technologies
- Ability to function in a rapidly changing environment
