About The Position

The Clothing Department Lead supports the daily operations of the apparel (softgoods) department in a winter ski and snowboard specialty retail store. This full-time, hourly leadership role focuses on customer service, sales performance, merchandising, and team support during peak winter season. The position is located in West Palm Beach, Florida, and does not require travel.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of retail experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and peak winter season hours.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move up to 20–25 lbs.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as talking, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, carrying, and climbing.

Nice To Haves

• Lead or key-holder experience.
• Experience with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Interest or knowledge of ski/snowboard apparel and cold-weather performance wear.
• Passion for skiing, snowboarding, or outdoor winter sports.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service using knowledge of winter apparel and layering systems.
• Lead by example on the sales floor and support clothing department associates during shifts.
• Drive department sales through effective selling, add-ons, and customer engagement.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, organization, and product presentation.
• Assist with inventory tasks, including receiving, stocking, transfers, and markdowns.
• Support training and onboarding of new and seasonal staff.
• Help resolve customer issues and support store-wide operations as needed.
