About The Position

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital’s Emergency Department is seeking a full-time Clinical Technician 1 for night shifts, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM. Days vary, with rotating weekends and holidays. The technician provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and communicates effectively with team members, patients, and visitors while maintaining professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. The position includes six non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of virtual orientations (two sessions from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM), six classroom-style shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and visitors.
Maintain professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
Complete the required paid training, including virtual orientations, classroom-style sessions, virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
