Clinical Technician 1 - Oncology
About The Position
Inova Loudoun Hospital – Oncology is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 to provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses. The technician communicates effectively with team members, patients, and visitors, and maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. The role is full-time, overnight, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating days, weekends, and holidays. Training includes six classroom-style sessions in Fairfax, Virginia; one virtual orientation day; and one virtual EPIC training session. The first week requires a Monday–Friday schedule regardless of the position’s normal schedule. Training dates are preset and non-negotiable. Current Inova Clinical Technicians and rehires under one year are exempt from the Clinical Technician Academy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
