About The Position

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital’s Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1. This is a part-time day-shift role with a 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. schedule on rotating days, weekends, and holidays. The technician provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and communicates effectively with team members, patients, and visitors while maintaining professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. The position requires availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training. Training includes two virtual orientation sessions from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., six classroom-style shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
Availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training.
