About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Clinical Supervisor for its detox and residential treatment facility in Norfolk, Virginia. The supervisor supports the Clinical Director, manages the daily execution of the clinical program, and helps maintain a warm, encouraging recovery environment. The role includes occasional group facilitation, a small client caseload, compliance oversight for client documentation, and utilization review support to promote authorization and retention throughout treatment.

Requirements

• Current state licensure required for the role: LPC, LCSW, or LSATP.
• Efficient and driven, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Positive, warm, and dignified character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Three years of experience working with chemical dependency or dual-diagnosed clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist the Clinical Director with relevant duties as necessary.
• Manage the daily execution of all aspects of the Avenues clinical program.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and encouraging recovery environment.
• Occasionally facilitate groups and maintain a small client caseload.
• Provide consistent compliance oversight to ensure client documentation is complete and compliant.
• Provide utilization review support to drive authorization and retention throughout treatment.
