About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is the nation's leading physician group specializing in wound care services for skilled nursing facilities. We are seeking a clinically credible closer, specifically nurses who have transitioned into sales or are ready to make that move. Your clinical background is your greatest asset, allowing you to leverage firsthand knowledge of wound care, patient outcomes, and SNF operations to establish partnerships. Your mission is to establish markets, sign contracts, and ensure operational strength within your territory.

Requirements

  • Active or former RN, LPN, or wound care nurse with hands-on experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute settings.
  • 1 to 5 years of healthcare sales experience preferred — but strong clinical candidates with a demonstrated interest in sales will be considered.
  • Deep understanding of how skilled nursing facilities operate, their clinical pain points, staffing challenges, and administrative decision-making processes.
  • Familiarity with wound assessment, treatment protocols, and the clinical and financial burden of wound care on SNF operations.
  • Ability to speak fluently to both clinical staff and business decision makers.
  • Commitment to a road warrior schedule — traveling 4 to 5 days per week to build and secure new markets.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the full sales cycle from initial outreach to contract execution within the skilled nursing and long-term care sectors, leveraging clinical credibility to build instant trust.
  • Use nursing knowledge and understanding of wound care disease processes to communicate the ROI of our physician-led model to administrators, directors of nursing, and C-suite decision makers.
  • Analyze new regions to identify high-potential SNF partners and prioritize outreach based on clinical need and business viability.
  • Build high-level trust with corporate SNF owners, regional directors, and directors of nursing.
  • Work alongside our physician team to ensure a seamless handoff from signed contract to active wound care service.
  • Consistently meet and exceed closing quotas to support rapid and profitable territory growth.
