About The Position

Wander Staffing is seeking one Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center (59 MDW), Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The position is 100% on-site. Compensation is $64 per hour as a W-2 position. This is a long-term contract; the contract duration is between the government and Wander Staffing. A 60-day notice is requested if leaving the position. Schedule details are forthcoming.

Requirements

• PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited college or university.
• Completion of an APA-accredited psychology internship.
• Additional training is required for psychology specialties.
• Valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any of the 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• Must meet credentialing requirements, including experience and licensure.
• Prior experience working in a hospital facility; experience from other types of healthcare settings will not be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Practice within state licensing board guidelines, the APA Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and the clinician’s MTF privileges.
• Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources as appropriate.
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses using the DSM.
• Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups.
• Help medical and surgical patients cope with illnesses or injuries.
• Assist with patient rehabilitation.
