About The Position

FIREFLY is seeking a regular full time Clinical Manager to provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction within our clinical programs. This is a key leadership position responsible for supporting service excellence, developing staff, and ensuring high-quality, accessible care across our region. As the Clinical Manager, you will be a member of FIREFLY's Leadership Team and play a central role in overseeing clinical services for children and youth. You will support a team of professionals, guide program delivery, and work collaboratively across the organization and community to strengthen services and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of clinical experience in the mental health discipline or a related field.
  • Progressive leadership experience (3-5 years preferred) including staff supervision and program oversight.
  • Experience with service planning, program development, and performance monitoring.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen
  • Ability to manage a reasonable workload with effective prioritization and follow-up
  • Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and quality service
  • Ability to manage conflict, mediate, and support problem-solving
  • Commitment to promoting and following FIREFLY's health and safety practices

  • Experience working within community-based or publicly funded service systems is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight to Counsellors and Senior Clinicians.
  • Manage day-to-day service delivery, programs, and clinical operations. Portfolio will be within the mental health discipline of Clinical Services (this is subject to change).
  • Promote service excellence by monitoring performance and implementing strategic improvements.
  • Support staff through coaching, supervision, training, and performance review.
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive team culture that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
  • Ensure clinical and service data is accurate, meets Ministry requirements, and supports quality decision-making.
  • Participate in agency-wide service planning and contribute to FIREFLY's strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team members and community partners to enhance service coordination and access.
  • Represent FIREFLY in community partnerships and system planning initiatives as required.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
  • Effectively manage complex, sensitive clinical and operational situations.
  • Perform other duties as required.
