About The Position

Texas Health is hiring a PRN Clinical Lab Assistant at Texas Health Fort Worth. The role primarily supports early-morning specimen collections, with work hours usually from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM and occasionally from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The schedule includes every other weekend and rotating holidays. The position is based at 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., Fort Worth, Texas. The assistant contributes to specimen integrity, test procedures, laboratory operations, quality control and documentation, safety, and professional accountability. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (CLIAFE).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one-semester phlebotomy course.
PBT (ASCP) Phlebotomy Technician certification, preferred upon hire.
